Urgent appeal for new playground equipment at centre for vulnerable children at Melville, KwaDukuza
Enduduzweni Community Care Centre is a haven from the harsh realities of township life.
The Enduduzweni Community Care Centre in Melville is in urgent need of a new outdoor playground for children.
The centre provides food parcels, prepared meals, clothing and academic support to both children and adults.
The current playground is in disrepair with broken swings and trampolines making it unsafe for children to play on, and it is hoped public support will enable the centre to revamp the area.
The centre’s project manager, Mondli Ngema, emphasised the importance of outdoor play for children’s physical development.
“New equipment will provide them with more opportunities for exercise, improving their motor skills, coordination and overall physical health,” said Ngema.
