Yuvika Govender crowned Miss Ballito 2024
More than just celebrating beauty, the pageant emphasised the importance of social responsibility.
The Miss Ballito 2024 judges voted 23-year-old Yuvika Govender as the fairest of them all at the pageant finals on Thursday night.
The sea freight imports controller who holds an honours degree in supply chain management, was crowned at a glittering ceremony held at Collisheen Estate, and thanked the community for supporting her.
“I am deeply honoured. This journey has been incredible and I am excited to represent our beautiful community and will work towards making a positive impact,” she said.
Biomedical scientist Khethiwe Dhlamini was named 1st Princess, and Alexia Minnie 2nd Princess.
More than beauty, the pageant also emphasised the importance of social responsibility. Contestants highlighted their commitments to various causes, reflecting a desire to make a meaningful difference in their communities.
As the newly crowned Miss Ballito, Govender will have the opportunity to engage with local initiatives and advocate important issues.
