Miss North Coast KZN pageant raises R20K for local schools
Winners will have a chance to collaborate with the Red Movement on projects going forward.
Six new Miss North Coast KZN queens were crowned at a glamorous final event at the Capital Zimbali on Saturday.
The 2024 event was the second edition of the annual pageant which was founded by Katryn Celliers last year.
More than 250 girls and women aged three and up entered this year, with 52 finalists selected across six age divisions.
Aside from highlighting beauties from across the province, the pageant also fundraised to distribute care packages to local schools.
More than R20 000 was raised this year and will be allocated in conjunction with partner organisation, the Red Movement, that works to reduce period poverty.
Winners will have a chance to collaborate with the Red Movement on projects going forward.
Winners were selected by a panel of judges which included Noeline Rajbally (Mrs South Africa 1st runner-up), Lesego Mpyana (founder of the Red Movement), Candice Davis (Mrs South Africa finalist), Anke Gothe (co-founder of Bella La Lupa) and Shaun Morrow (director of Morrows Attorneys).

Miss North Coast KZN Pre-Teen (ages 10-12)

* 1st Princess: Azande Mbambo.
* 2nd Princess: Lwandisa Majola.
* Beauty with a Purpose: Kieran Nash.
* Public Choice: Lilia Ait Boukrim.
Miss North Coast KZN Teen (ages 13-15)
* Queen: Leanne Sokolich.
* 1st Princess: Chloe Jade Gengadu.
