Two dead in separate road accidents on the North Coast

A vehicle crashing into a tree and a car colliding with a truck cause fatalities.

Two people lost their lives in two separate accidents on North Coast roads this morning.

The first accident happened on the N2 near Salt Rock when a light motor vehicle carrying three people, a 30-year-old woman and two men, crashed into a truck.

Kelsey-Jae Meyrick of IPSS Medical Rescue reported that all three occupants were critically injured and transported to hospital, where one of the men succumbed to his injuries.

Shortly afterwards, a second accident occurred on the R102 near Shaka’s Head.

An out-of-control delivery truck crashed into a tree, killing the 38-year-old driver.
