Editor’s Choice: A thrilling team-building adventure at Tree Trails
There are two routes through the trees, a gentler climb and a more hardcore course for the thrill seekers.
Taking time off from chasing news, The North Coast Courier editorial team recently had a wild time tackling a high ropes obstacle course at Tree Trails, Sugar Rush.
Journalists might be known for “balancing” perspectives, but balancing on wobbly logs and cables presented a whole new challenge. It was all part of a team-building exercise.

Luckily, if you find yourself panicking a bit and get stuck in the air, clinging on for dear life, the Tree Trails team follow below to cheer you on and guide you through the obstacles if necessary.
The course costs R250 and takes about 1.5 hours to complete. We thought this was excellent value for money for such a unique adventure.

For a further thrill, extra zip lines are also available (R200), while bungee trampolines provide another fun option at R60 for a quick 10-minute hop.

Climbing high in the gum tree forest will give you a bird’s eye perspective on the world below, and as you whizz through the branches the adrenaline rush will no doubt bring you back again and again.
