Rage Festival invites alumni to celebrate “on the house”
About 3 000 partygoers packed the venue on each of the first three nights.
Ballito’s iconic annual Rage Festival for school-leavers ignited with a bang at the Sound Factory near Sugar Rush on Saturday.
Organisers said about 3 000 partygoers packed the venue on each of the first three nights, expecting this to increase to more than 4 000 after the introduction of the three-day “passports” on Wednesday this week. Renowned for its vibrant energy, the Rage Festival offers themed nights such as Whiteout and Neon Dream.
Running until December 7, the festival’s massive SuperClub stage will feature world-class DJs and performers. A highlight of the festival is the ever-popular Boa Beach Pool Party at La Montagne.
Organisers say the Rage Festival is set for a major transformation next year, but were mum on the details. But in a special gesture marking the end of this chapter, the organisers have invited attendees from the past five years to join this year’s celebrations for free. They did not confirm how many took up the offer.
