Search underway for missing Glendale teenager Sandiswa Sibiya
The 19-year-old has not been seen since the weekend, prompting an appeal from his family for information on his whereabouts.
A Glendale family is appealing for help to find 19-year-old Sandiswa Zamani Sibiya, who has been missing since the weekend.
According to his family, Sandiswa left his home at about 3pm on Friday, August 14, to stay with a friend in Glendale Heights ahead of a school trip planned for Saturday.
He was expected to return home after the trip, but concerns were raised when he failed to do so.
On Monday, August 17, Sandiswa’s mother reportedly received his cellphone and charger from one of his friends.
The friend told the family that Sandiswa and his friends had returned from the school trip before later going to a place known as Thula’s, where they allegedly consumed alcohol.
According to the friends, Sandiswa later left the group, saying he was going to sleep. His family says he has not been seen since.
The Glendale community are appealing to anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
Anyone who has seen Sandiswa or has information that could assist in finding him can contact Warrant Officer Mthiyane on 083 411 5235 or his family on 083 366 9991.
