What to do in Ballito this weekend

A KZN Philharmonic performance, jazz and live band gigs, and the market scene are among the many entertainment choices.

12 December – Xmas Jazz Show with Dave Langley Band at Lyric Lounge Theatre, Odyssey Mall, Ballito at 7pm. R180pp. Tickets at lyriclounge.co.za.

– KZN Philharmonic string quartet at Ballito Village, 7-9pm.

– Catch Bloodbrother at The Market from 6pm-9pm and Steve Graham on Eat Street from 6.30pm-9.30pm.

13 December – Secret Sunrise Freaky Friday guided dance session at La Montagne rooftop, 6am. Tickets R120 for adults and R75 for kids, available via Quicket. Wireless headphones will be provided.

– Starlight Market at Simbithi Country Club, 5-9pm. Free entry.

– TGIF Fridays: Burn the Bill at La Montagne, 6-9pm. Good food, drinks, and amazing local acts.

– Suits of Armour will be performing at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm and The Kickstands will entertain diners on Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

14-15 December – Tom Jones and Friends tribute with Steve Ashley at Lyric Lounge Theatre, Odyssey Mall at 7pm. Tickets R180pp, bookings at lyriclounge.co.za.

14 December – Rocky Shore morning hike from Willard Beach at 6.45am-R179pp (R99 kids under 13). Bookings via Quicket.

– Full moon night walk in Umdloti at 6.45pm. Tickets R169pp, (R99 for kids under 13).

– Qadasi & Maqhinga will be playing at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm followed by Angel from 6-9pm.

15 December – Greenbus Grassroots Initiative at Ndunas motocross track, Shakaskraal. Registration at 9am (R250). No license required, medics on site. Medals for all riders.

– Combined book launch and farewell party hosted by A Chorus of Rustics at Ekhaya Guest House, Ballito, from 11am to 3pm. Admission R150pp. Transport pickups: 9am at Shoprite car park, 10am at Groutville market.

– Enjoy an intimate morning session with Dave Starke at The Studios from 10.30am-12.30pm. Quiet Storm will be performing on Eat Street from 1pm-4pm.
