Orphan Fund nurtures festive cheer with Nurture iLembe
Donationa made by staff members, patients and their families at the Nurture iLembe Physical Rehabilitation Centre will be donated to the erdely.
The North Coast Courier Orphan Fund is spreading goodwill to gogos in Melville, Nonoti and Groutville this festive season.
The gogos will receive essentials donated by staff members, patients and their families at the Nurture iLembe Physical Rehabilitation Centre.
“We are deeply thankful for everyone’s generosity and hope to continue contributing to initiatives like this in the future,” said Nurture iLembe’s clinical assessor, Taryn Osborn.
Orphan Fund fundraising coordinator Charmaine Premlal expressed her gratitude for the donations.

“The reward in running a project like this lies in the interaction with the children in need. However, the need is so great that we need corporates, organisations and individuals who have like-minded goals to partner with us to uplift our communities wherever we can,” said Premlal.
At a special donation handover last Thursday, Nurture iLembe also hosted a Christmas carol service for patients. Despite battling ill health, patients enjoyed festive songs and plenty of delicious treats.
“The purpose of the event was to bring the Christmas spirit to our patients and their families. Being in hospital during the festive season can be difficult,” said Osborn.
