Ballito dancer’s choreography puts dazzle in Puss in Boots panto

Family favourite to run until January 12.

Nothing says ‘holiday’ like a lively Panto. Even better when it has been choreographed by Ballito’s dancing queen Simone Mann.

KickstArt Theatre Productions’ Puss in Boots is currently on at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre until 12 January. Set on an enchanted Caribbean Island, this family-friendly production promises a colourful spectacle with dazzling sets, vibrant costumes and festive humour.

Mann said the support so far has been incredible.

“Audiences can expect a fun-filled, action packed two hours of comedy and song, perfect for the lead up to Christmas,” she said.

Originally staged in 2015, this year’s show brings fresh flavour with the introduction of new hits like Mariah Carey’s “Hero” and the return of crowd pleaser hits like Katy Perry’s “Roar”.

The show stars Rory Booth as the charismatic and witty Puss, supported by William Young as his hapless owner, Tom Marzipan. Blessing Xaba takes on the role of Tom’s exasperated mother, Merry Marzipan, while Lyle Buxton plays Tristram, Tom’s bumbling brother.

Lyle Buxton prepares to bowl you over with his charm this festive season.

The cast also includes Bryan Hiles as Grimsby Withergood, Roshanda Lewis as Princess Miranda, and Belinda Henwood as the enchanting fairy Calypso Honeybunch. Directed by Darren King with sets by Greg King, this family favourite promises to be a “purr-fect” festive outing.

Performances start at 2.30pm on weekdays and Sundays, with Saturday shows at 11am and 3.30pm. Get your tickets at Webtickets.
