Cops bust alleged coke dealers in Ballito

Police confiscate drugs worth about R42 000 after bust tip-off.

Two suspected drug dealers were arrested in possession of cocaine and crystal meth valued at about R42 000 in Ballito on Sunday.

The arrests were made by the Saps crime intelligence unit following a tip-off that the dealers were operating near Willard beach. Saps said on Monday that an iLembe District Intelligence police operation broke up a suspected drug syndicate operating in the area.

The two men, aged 29 and 30, were found in possession of 47 individually wrapped portions of cocaine powder and five sachets of crystal meth. They appeared in KwaDukuza Magistrates Court on Monday and remain in police custody.
