New gallery exhibition ‘Periphery’ seeks to promote fresh perspectives

A live art performance will for the first time accompany the launch on April 3.

Art is almost always at its best when it pushes boundaries and finds new ways to broaden cultural horizons.

Next month’s exhibition at The Gallery at Lifestyle Centre, ‘Periphery’, reflects that very notion. With an exciting list of established and emerging artists on show, Periphery is an exhibition you will not want to miss.

Former gallery curator Jane Digby is one of the artists on show at Periphery.

The exhibition officially launches on 3 April at 6pm and guests will have the opportunity to meet some of the featured artists. There is also an intriguing new addition for this launch – a live art performance from artist Soöchi!

“There is so much that exists within the periphery, it isn’t just an afterthought – it’s a space full of potential, energy, and transformation,” said Gallery curator Sarah O’Reilly.

Darren Reddy’s work will be featured.

“In our world, what happens on the margins can often have profound consequences for what lies at the centre. This exhibition calls for viewers to be cognisant of what takes place on the periphery of their awareness. What happens when we bring this to the fore, to be seen and heard?”

The Gallery can be found at The Studios and is open daily from 9am-5pm. You can find them on Instagram and Facebook @thegallerylifestyle or contact them via WhatsApp at 072 245 8691.
