Head-on-crash kills father and son in KwaDukuza

Another five family members were injured, including three children aged between 8 and 13.

A tragic head-on collision on the R102, near the KwaDukuza Saps Station, has left two people dead and several others injured.

According to Samantha Meyrick of IPSS Medical Rescue, emergency teams rushed to the scene on Saturday afternoon following reports of a serious crash.

A father and his 8-year-old son died on the scene after suffering serious injuries.

“Another five family members were injured, including three children aged between 8 and 13. One patient was severely entrapped in the wreckage and required urgent assistance, “ said Meyrick.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to hospital by private transport before emergency services arrived. The passenger sustained minor injuries and declined further medical treatment.
