The crash comes less than 24 hours after serious accidents on the N2 between KwaDukuza and Zinkwazi.

Two men were killed in a head-on collision on the link road between Blythedale and the N2 this afternoon.

The men, believed to be in their 30s, were travelling from Blythedale towards the N2 at around 2pm when they were involved in the crash with an SUV going in the opposite direction.

According to IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Samantha Meyrick, the SUV was carrying a family of four, who were all lucky to escape with minor injuries.

The crash comes less than 24 hours after two more serious accidents on the N2 between KwaDukuza and Zinkwazi.

On Saturday night, just before 10pm, a pedestrian was killed during a two-car collision on the N2 near Zinkwazi which also left two other people seriously injured.

Just minutes earlier, ANC KZN Youth League deputy-chairperson Phindile Mdanda and another driver were both seriously injured in a crash near the Umvoti Bridge.
