Dolphin Coast Floral Art Club finds perfect balance
Snooks Cole delighted the club with her balance-inspired design demo
South Coast flower expert Snooks Cole delighted members of the Dolphin Coast Floral Art Club with a demonstration themed around balance in art.
Snooks addressed the club at its first meeting of 2026 and shared how she uses plant material from her garden, drawing design inspiration from architects Antonio Gaudí, Frank Gehry and others. Club members left inspired to try new techniques in their own floral art creations.

The monthly competition theme, textural contrast, drew eight entries, with three gold ribbons awarded. Careen Tait received the awards for best use of colour and most innovative, while Vaughn Harrington was named best on show.
The Dolphin Coast Floral Art Club meets on the third Monday of every month at All Saints Catholic Church in Ballito at 9.30am. The next workshop, transparency, will be led by Vaughn on February 16.
