Barking mad for love at Ballito Farmers Market

The Valentine's puppy parade was well supported.

Love was in the air, and so were wagging tails, when the Fur-Ever Valentine Parade took place on Sunday at the Ballito Farmers Market.

The popular market turned into a sea of red, pink and paws as 50 furry contestants strutted their stuff in front of an excited crowd.

From tiny lapdogs in heart-shaped outfits to proud golden oldies wearing roses, the parade delivered smiles from start to finish.

The event also carried a strong message of compassion. Phoenix Animal Care and Treatment (PACT) brought along dogs hoping to find forever homes, drawing plenty of interest from animal lovers.

Meanwhile, raffle ticket sales raised R3 000 for Boston Terrier Action Group (BTAG), supporting its ongoing rescue and rehabilitation efforts.

Ten playful categories kept the excitement high, including Mr Valentine, Miss Valentine, Best Date Night, Love at First Sight and The Perfect Pair.
