Townsend Park comes alive for Ballito Easter Scavenger Hunt

The Lions are considering making it an annual event after the success of the day.

Families filled Townsend Park on Sunday as the Lions Club Easter Scavenger Hunt delivered fun, prizes and community spirit.

The charity fundraiser offered a full afternoon of entertainment for all ages, centred around the popular scavenger hunt where children searched for hidden treasures and received Easter treat packs.

The festive atmosphere featured face painting, a reptile show and jumping castles, while a surprise appearance by the Easter Bunny delighted young attendees. Food and drink stalls, along with a small local market, added to the relaxed, family-friendly setting.

Beyond the fun, the event raised funds for the Ballito Lions Club’s community projects.

Event organiser Jennifer Lambrechts thanked attendees and sponsors for their support.

“The turnout exceeded all our expectations. We are incredibly grateful,” she said.
