16 April – Sundowners on Eat Street between 4-6pm with DJ Greenhouse, before open mic at The Market from 6-8pm.
17 April – Live music with Tiaan Rivers at La Piazza Ballito from 5-8pm.
– Catch Suits of Armour at The Market between 6-9pm or Chuck Bowden at Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.
18 April – Enjoy breakfast with Rene Tshiakanyi at The Studios between 10.30am-12.30pm. Later, Brian Patterson will perform at The Market from 6-9pm, with Steve Graham live on Eat Street between 6.30-9.30pm.
19 April – #LoveNorthCoast Big Float at Sunrise at Thompson’s Bay tidal pool from 6.30am. Sunrise stretch session with TashB Pilates before relaxed float. Free event, with coffee and hot chocolate on sale. Bring your own floaty.
– Sunday lunch with Hale Mary at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm or The Golden Super Hawks at Eat Street from 1-4pm.
20 and 22 April – Donation-based yoga classes at Balvista Centre Ballito (Lutheran Church above SPCA Dog Box) on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5.30-6.30pm. Proceeds go to charity. More info at yogamyoga.com.
22 April – StorySlamKZN at Butcher & Wine in Salt Rock Centre. Dinner from 5.30pm, storytelling from 7pm, booking essential at 081 799 8750. Five speakers each tell a five-minute true story. R100pp in support of the DKS Scholarship Fund. All welcome to tell a future story, contact Karen Doveton at 084 900 5444. * NOTE: This date is different to that which appeared in print. 24 April – The Kickstands live at La Piazza Ballito from 5-8pm.
26 April – North Coast Beaches monthly clean-up at Zimbali Long Beach from 7-9am. Meet at Foch le Roux parking area. Bring own gloves and water bottle.
30 April – Monthly Ballito Writers Group Meeting at the Ballito Library at 10.30am. All welcome. Speaker: Daniela d’Hotman de Villiers, who writes to assist families rediscover presence, connection and humanity in an age of screens and AI.
5 May – Free ancestry research programme by appointment with the oThongathi Museum Committee at Tongaat Central Library from 1-3pm. Contact Tholsi Mudly on WhatsApp at 073 152 7256 to organise an appointment.

• Thursday and Sunday: Salt Rock Farmers’ Market at Slow Roads Collective. 7am-12pm on Thursday and 9am-1pm on Sunday.
• First Friday of every month: Burnedale Farm Night Market, 4.30-8.30pm in Umhlali.
• Last Friday of every month: Market 032 night market, 6-9pm at La Montagne.
• Saturday and Sunday and selected public holidays: Ballito Farmers Market, 8am-3pm at Lower Oaklands Farm, Umhlali.
