14 May – Sundowners on Eat Street with DJ Greenhouse from 4-6pm.

15 May – Catch James Freedom at The Market from 6-9pm or The Black Lapels from 6.30-9.30pm.

16 May – Rocky Shore Explorer walk with Durban Hiking and Adventures. Guided 6km round trip from Willard Beach, starting at 6.45am. Booking via Quicket, R179 for adults, R99 for children U13.

– Breakfast with Graham Hudson at The Studios from 10.30am-12.30pm, before lunch at The Market with Chuck Bowden from 12.30-3.30pm. Gavin Ferguson will take over at The Market from 6-9pm, while Dave Imrie will perform on Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

17 May – Sunday lunch with Suits of Armour at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm, or Quiet Storm on Eat Street from 1-4pm.

– Love Justice Walk for Justice. A 6km beach walk starting at 1.30pm at Bench Coffee, near Tiffany’s Beach, ending at Concha Café.

28 May – StorySlamKZN at Butcher & Wine in Salt Rock Centre. Dinner from 5.30pm, storytelling from 7pm, booking essential at 081 799 8750. Five speakers each tell a five minute true story. R100pp in support of the DKS Scholarship Fund. All welcome to tell a story, contact Karen Doveton at 084 900 5444.

30 May – Ballito Gesinskerk bazaar from 8am-2pm. Food stalls, tea garden, kids zone with foam pit, reptile show and a variety of exhibitors.

– Calling all vendors for Umhlali Methodist Church car boot sale from 8.30am-midday. R250 per stand. Contact Belinda at 082 927 7623.

– Darnall Country Club ‘Save Our Club’ golf day at the club. Shotgun start at 9am, R2 000 per two ball, better ball, with cart, welcome, halfway house and dinner included.

– Sokkie for Summerhill House fundraiser at Burnedale Farm. Good music, food and plenty of gees from 5.30pm. Normal tickets R200, VIP R300 from Quicket.

30 and 31 May – KwaZuluSpirit Festival at Salt Rock Hotel. Variety of spiritual classes and sessions. Tickets R475 per day or R890 for weekend pass from Quicket. Children U13 free.

31 May – Returning Give and Gather Charity Food Fest at Townsend Park from 10am-3pm. Food stalls and activities for the whole family, with live music by Rene Tshiakanyi. Free entry.

Regular markets
• Wednesday and Saturday: Market 032 from 8am-12.30pm at La Montagne.
• Thursday and Sunday: Salt Rock Farmers’ Market at Slow Roads Collective. 7am-12pm on Thursday and 9am-1pm on Sunday.
• First Friday of every month: Burnedale Farm Night Market, 4.30-8.30pm in Umhlali.
• Last Friday of every month: Market 032 night market, 6-9pm at La Montagne.
• Saturday, Sunday and selected public holidays: Ballito Farmers Market, 8am-3pm at Lower Oaklands Farm, Umhlali.
