North Coast events you don't want to miss.

21 May – Sundowners on Eat Street with Lady Muze from 4-6pm.

22 May – Catch René Tshiakanyi at The Market between 6-9pm and Steve Graham on Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

23 May – Breakfast at The Studios with Keith Austin between 10.30am-12.30pm, followed by lunch at The Market with Tyler di Dominico from 12.30-3.30pm. The Black Lapels will take over at The Market between 6-9pm, with Hale Mary on Eat Street from 6.30-9.30pm.

– Ride the Wave fundraiser for Steve Quinn at Loop Evolution Underground Theatre in La Montagne. A packed line-up of six local artists and bands. Tickets are R120 from Quicket.

24 May – Tyler di Dominico will perform at The Studios between 10.30am-12.30pm, before Sunday lunch with The Kickstands at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm or with Afritude on Eat Street from 1-4pm.

28 May – Ballito Writers’ Group monthly meeting at the Ballito Library at 10.30am. All welcome. Project engineer Steven Smith will speak on the topic of “The role of imagination for authors.”

– StorySlamKZN at Butcher & Wine in Salt Rock Centre. Dinner from 5.30pm, storytelling from 7pm, booking essential at 081 799 8750. Five speakers each tell a five-minute true story. R100pp in support of the DKS Scholarship Fund. All welcome to tell a story, contact Karen Doveton at 084 900 5444.

29 and 30 May – Farming God’s Way training at All Souls Anglican Church on functional farming and how to make your own compost. 8.30am-4pm on both days, R50pp. Contact Denis at 082 773 9016 to register, spaces limited.

30 May – Ballito Gesinskerk bazaar from 8am-2pm. Food stalls, tea garden, kids’ zone with foam pit, reptile show and a variety of exhibitors.

– Calling all vendors for Umhlali Methodist Church car boot sale from 8.30am-midday. R250 per stand. Contact Belinda at 082 927 7623.

– Darnall Country Club ‘Save Our Club’ golf day at the club. Shotgun start at 9am, R2 000 per two ball, better ball, with cart, welcome, halfway house and dinner included. Contact Gary at 073 159 5507.

– Sokkie for Summerhill House fundraiser at Burnedale Farm. Good music, food and plenty of gees from 5.30pm. Normal tickets R200, VIP R300 from Quicket.

30 and 31 May – KwaZuluSpirit Festival at Salt Rock Hotel. Variety of spiritual classes and sessions. Tickets R475 per day or R890 for weekend pass from Quicket. Children U13 free.

31 May – Returning Give and Gather Charity Food Fest at Townsend Park from 10am-3pm. Food stalls and activities for the whole family, with live music by Rene Tshiakanyi. Free entry.

• Wednesday and Saturday: Market 032 from 8am-12.30pm at La Montagne.
• Thursday and Sunday: Salt Rock Farmers’ Market at Slow Roads Collective. 7am-12pm on Thursday and 9am-1pm on Sunday.
• First Friday of every month: Burnedale Farm Night Market, 4.30-8.30pm in Umhlali.
• Last Friday of every month: Market 032 night market, 6-9pm at La Montagne.
• Saturday, Sunday and selected public holidays: Ballito Farmers Market, 8am-3pm at Lower Oaklands Farm, Umhlali.
