Cowboy hats and country beats set the tone for Summerhill fundraiser

The mechanical bull proved one of the highlights of the evening.

Burnedale came alive with country charm on Saturday night when Summerhill House hosted its “Boere Roots and Country Boots” sokkie fundraiser.

About 270 guests attended the lively event, embracing the theme with cowboy hats, boots and plenty of enthusiasm on the dance floor.

The evening featured music, dancing and entertainment, with the mechanical bull proving to be one of the biggest attractions. Young and old alike lined up to test their skills, as both girls and boys took turns trying to stay in the saddle and earn bragging rights.
