25 June – Sundowners on Eat Street with DJ Jay Lee from 4-6pm.

– StorySlamKZN at Butcher & Wine in Salt Rock Centre. Dinner from 5.30pm, storytelling from 7pm. Booking is essential on 081 799 8750. Five speakers will each tell a five-minute true story. R100pp in support of the DKS Scholarship Fund. All are welcome to tell a story; contact Karen Doveton on 084 900 5444.

26 June – Live music at The Market with Chuck Bowden from 6-9pm or on Eat Street with The Black Lapels between 6.30-9.30pm.

27 June – Breakfast entertainment at The Studios with Hansen Pillay from 10.30am-12.30pm, or later with Darius at The Market between 12.30-3.30pm. Brenton Munsamy will take over at The Market from 6-9pm, with Quiet Storm on Eat Street between 6.30-9.30pm.

– Tequila and Mexican Food Festival at The Lawns from 11am-9pm. Food carts and live music. Full details and tickets from R350 at Howler.

– Iceman Festival at La Montagne with live music performances from 2-10pm. Strictly for teens aged 13-17. No alcohol allowed, full details and tickets from R150 at Howler.

28 June – Monthly beach clean-up at Zimbali Long Beach from 8am-10am. Meet at the Foch Le Roux parking area and bring your own gloves and water bottle. Community service hours available.

– Catch Tara Blake at The Studios between 10.30am-12.30pm, before Sunday lunch with The Kickstands at The Market from 12.30-3.30pm or Jemma Kate on Eat Street between 1-4pm.

18 July – Mandela Day Dog Walk from The Waffle Society in the Ballito Village at 8am. Make your 67 minutes count for the SPCA.

25 July – The Ballito Neighbourhood Watch Annual Potjie Competition at Townsend Park Ballito.

• Wednesday: Market 032 from 8am-12.30pm at La Montagne.
• Thursday and Sunday: Salt Rock Farmers’ Market at Slow Roads Collective. 7am-12pm on Thursday and 9am-1pm on Sunday.
• First Friday of every month: Burnedale Farm Night Market, 4.30-8.30pm in Umhlali.
• First Friday of every month: Market 032 night market, 6-9pm at La Montagne.
• First and last Saturday of the month: Car boot sale at Ballito Gesinskerk, 7-11am.
• Saturday, Sunday and selected public holidays: Ballito Farmers Market, 8am-3pm at Lower Oaklands Farm, Umhlali.
