Ballito Pro beach concert returns this week with two nights of powerhouse line-ups

The free concerts have become one of the festival's signature attractions, drawing thousands of spectators each year.

The Ballito Pro Presented by O’Neill is turning up the volume with two free beachfront concerts at Salt Rock Main Beach, bringing together some of South Africa’s biggest DJs and live music acts for two unforgettable evenings.

The entertainment begins on Thursday, July 16, when the Corona Beach Party takes over from 5pm to 10.30pm, featuring an all-star DJ line-up led by acclaimed Afro-house producer Mörda.

Joining him behind the decks are Ballito favourite DJ Merlon, Durban’s Blanco Nero, rising star Asvnte, East Coast Radio’s Jay Sbu and the winner of the annual Ballito Pro DJ Competition, giving an emerging local artist the chance to perform before thousands of festivalgoers.

Known for chart-topping tracks including Uxolo, Takala and Summer Love, Mörda remains one of South Africa’s most sought-after producers, while DJ Merlon returns to perform for his home crowd after becoming a familiar face at previous Ballito Pro festivals.

The celebrations continue on Friday, July 17, with the festival’s grand concert finale from 5pm to 11.30pm, delivering a diverse line-up of live performers.

Returning crowd favourite Booshle G headlines the evening, bringing his signature blend of folk-inspired storytelling, audience interaction and singalong anthems to the beachfront stage.

Also performing are social media sensations The Saxby Twins, whose upbeat pop sound and energetic performances have earned them fans across the country.

Whether you’re dancing to some of the country’s top DJs on Thursday or enjoying live music under the stars on Friday, the Ballito Pro’s concert weekend promises to be one of the highlights of this year’s festival.
