Ashbarn Trucking Mini sets 176.23-decibel record at KwaDukuza Winter Fair Motorfest

Presented by SPL Dream Team and officiated by head judge Ashen Ramdhar, the event drew car audio enthusiasts from across the region while raising funds for KwaDukuza Child Welfare.

A deafening 176.23-decibel blast echoed across the KwaDukuza Winter Fair Motorfest as a local competitor claimed the Loudest in the Land title during the popular sound-off competition.

The record was set by Delen Munien of Motown in the Ashbarn Trucking Mini on Saturday, July 4, beating more than 50 competitors. Munien also recorded 172.96 decibels on glass to secure the top honours.

Neeren and Jerome of Ashbarn Trucking recorded a competition-winning 176.23 decibels to claim the Loudest in the Land title at the KwaDukuza Winter Fair Motorfest.

Ramdhar thanked the competitors, spectators and sponsors who contributed to the success of the event.

“Most importantly, thank you for supporting the KwaDukuza Winter Fair Motorfest and helping make a meaningful difference in the lives of children through KwaDukuza Child Welfare,” he said.

He also congratulated Munien and the Ashbarn Trucking Team on their record-breaking performance, adding that the Loudest in the Land challenge will continue at future SPL Dream Team events.
