Spreading warmth this winter

South Africans are encouraged to dedicate 67 minutes of their time to charitable causes on Mandela Day, 18 July, in honour of the former president's 67 years of public service.

The ladies of the Wednesday Social Club got an early start on their Mandela Day service, handing out hand-knitted gifts to mothers-to-be at the Ballito Clinic.

The Wednesday Social Club donated hand-knitted teddies, beanies, jerseys and blankets that will no doubt provide warmth during this winter’s chilly nights.

The group was welcomed by Sister Gabriel and given a tour of the clinic during its visit last Friday.
