5 August – Docrra Community Conversations: Election Edition, 6pm at Salt Rock Country Club. Docrra’s Mary Kassam and KDRF’s Warwick Chapman will cut through the political fluff for a short, apolitical session to equip you with the facts before you head to the polls.

16 August – Peschlsports Cane Challenger MTB race from Cornubia Mall towards Umdloti on EMBA single track. Distances include 20, 40, 60 and 80km with a 10km option for kids. Tickets from R100-R480 from Racepass.

29 August – Wozza Rhythm & Roots Umhlali Prep Music Festival. Headlining acts Veranda Panda, joined by Phillip Taylor Band, Jason Hartman, Grant Truter Music, and the Umhlali Prep school choir and Marimbas. Gates open 10am. Tickets are R250 for adults and R150 under 18s.
