Melissa rides Amashova

Dynamite comes in small packages.

Crawford’s Grade 10 pupil Melissa Little took part in the 106km Amashova Durban Classic Cycling Race in October, which started at the Pietermaritzburg City Hall and finished in Durban at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Riding conditions were not ideal as a strong south-westerly was blowing, however Melissa managed to finish the route in four hours 47 minutes. She came third in the U16 female category and obtained a credible result of 3403 out of 4272 riders that completed the 106km route. Melissa improved her 2012 time by 40 minutes.
She is now looking forward to riding the 94.7km race in Johannesburg in November and the Pick ‘n Pay Cape Argus in March 2014.
