Pupils from local schools were entertained with South African folk tales during the Ballito Library “Telling Stories of KwaZulu-Natal” programme on October 24.
The storytelling quartet in partnership with provincial arts and culture department and Ignite Africa performers visited some schools, while others came to the library to see them in action.
They visited RA Padayachee Primary School in Shakashead where they left the audience begging for more. Their concept of bringing the stories to life through drama and song thrilled both the young and the old.
The storytelling bug was passed on to some of the pupils who were not shy to get on stage and tell the tales they once heard from their grandmothers.
