Top award for inclusive education

"Every child is entitled to quality education"

Isnembe Secondary School has been praised for how they cater for children with special needs or disability.
The Tongaat based school was awarded for excellence and commitment in providing quality inclusive education for all pupils at the provincial awards ceremony last Tuesday.
The school was nominated to represent the 422 mainstream schools in Ilembe district at the inclusive education awards ceremony held at Kwamame Primary full service school in the Mahlabathini District, 25 km north of Ulundi.
All 12 districts of the province were represented with “mainstream schools”, “full service schools” and “special schools” making up the three categories for the the awards.
School principal Nadeera Bhugwandass said she was honoured to recieve the ward on behalf of the school.
“This award bears testimony to our school’s commitment to our pupils, parents and community. My staff, school governing body and I will continue in our efforts in providing excellent service – recognising that every child is entitled to quality education,” she said.
