Bloom opens in Salt Rock

Bloom Special Needs Centre shows off their new premises.

Bloom celebrated their move to the new premises in Salt Rock with a lovely open day last Wednesday, February 18, and the response was fantastic.

“We have had a lot of interest and we are so excited about the new year in our new home,” said Nicola Stirton, who is the mastermind behind Bloom school.

The special needs centre works with children with a variety of diagnosis: down syndrome, autism, low IQ, non-specified learning difficulties and children who are not coping in mainstream schools.

They work at each child’s specific developmental level so that they can learn through growth and experience.

What is unique to Bloom’s new premises, is that the Bloom children get to interact with other children during break time and fun activity days, as there is a mainstream school next to Bloom.
