Children taking part in Trinityhouse Palm Lakes’ Samaritans outreach programme enjoyed a day of giving, learning and playing with grade R pupils at Radha Roopsingh Primary School in Stanger last month on March 27.
A whole host of activities kept the children occupied, with a play-dough session allowing the children to showcase their creativity as they moulded their ideas.
Suné Hugo, administrator at Trinity House, said “squeals of joy and excitement could be heard during the various ball games that were played” while “story time gave everyone a chance to wind down after a day well spent”.
To mark the beginning of Easter and the end of a successful school term, Trinity House Samaritans also did an Easter-egg collection throughout the high school.
This was part of an outreach initiative to distribute the treats to less fortunate children in the community, so that their Easter break tasted a little sweeter.
