Groundbreaking news for Crawford

New AstroTurf will benefit players and school.

Crawford College North Coast had a memorable week as they broke ground with the construction of their new hockey AstroTurf.

The AstroTurf will be a water based field that has International Hockey Federation (FIH) global classification for Olympic and international tournaments.

It will cover one full-size field (100 x 60 metres) with a very high density of artificial grass and no sand infill, which provides a consistent ball roll and bounce.

The AstroTurf will be equipped with flood-lights for night games and a technical area with state of the art video analysis facilities. There will also be a small grandstand for spectator viewing.

The AstroTurf will also a benefit all hockey players and surrounding clubs in the community, who will be able to use the facilities.
