Shakaskraal Primary shoot to the top
Basketball team successfully defends their provincial title.
Shakaskraal SA Primary School basketball team, representing Ilembe district, defended their title as the KZN schools champions on Sunday, August 30.
In the semi-finals they annihilated the Uthukela district team 18-0 and in the finals scored a comprehensive victory against the Umlazi district, winning 18 -2
The games were held at the Hoy Park in Durban from August 28 to 30.
Coach of the team Queen Ndlovu said she was happy with the performance of her players and they are looking forward to compete at the national championships in December.
“Last year we claimed fourth position at the national level and this year we want to go even further,” said Ndlovu.
