Umhlali Preparatory School won the Primary Quiz competition ahead of 15 other schools on Sunday, August 13.
The quiz was held at Kearsney College, where Umhlali triumphed, making them back-to-back champions of a hard fought competition.
The first team was made up of grade six pupils Christopher Hill, Shenevra Govender, Dylan Westoby and Montana Poulsen, while the second team comprised Dominique Carbonel, Thayden Govender, Cassidy Poulsen and Tristan Turner with Julie Blevin and Lucy Campbell on reserve.
“I was very happy with the team’s performance and I am glad they enjoyed themselves while learning a lot along the way,” said grade six head of year, Kavitha Singh, who prepared the team.
The quiz covered a variety of topics across disciplines and was presented in multiple choice format using interactive devices.
