Crawford gala makes a splash
Crawford North Coast pupils go all out in their inter-house gala.
Crawford’s annual inter-house gala, which took place on Friday, October 23, buzzed with excitement this year as pupils got behind their houses and made a splash in the name of sporting fun.
Even the unpredictable weather conditions could not dampen the Crawford spirit and the event involved many students, competing for their houses against their peers.
Races ranged from freestyle to pass-the-shirt, breaststroke to doggy paddle, and to build more spirit, students had a chance to participate in a belly flop contest while the teachers got involved in the freezing ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
Even the grade 12 pupils took a break from their busy studying schedules to take part in the competitive ‘Spirit Cup’, which went to Johnson House, which out-performed the other houses with their singing, dancing and cheering.
In the end, Adams House proved too strong for the competition and they were the overall champions of the day, with their swimmers winning most of the races to secure them the winning trophy.
