Remembrance garden unveiled at Seatides school in tribute to Covid-19 lost loved ones

Vanitha Maharaj addressed those gathered for the event, talking about losing loved ones and how they continue to live on in the hearts of those they left behind.

Seatides Combined School in Tongaat unveiled a remembrance garden on March 17 where staff and pupils can pay tribute to those they have lost.

The school hosted a memorial service as part of the occasion and a multi-faith prayer to ensure all students and staff were represented.

Candles burn as pupils paid tribute to casualties from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Vanitha Maharaj addressed those gathered for the event, talking about losing loved ones and how they continue to live on in the hearts of those they left behind.

Pupils were given an opportunity to offer messages of love and remembrance, together with photos of the departed and plant trees in the new garden.
