Umhlali Preparatory first team girls won their games at the BNP Paribas RCS Rising Star tennis tournament held at Westridge stadium on April 17.
The girls were selected to go to the second stage of the national schools tournament which will see them compete in the provincial finals next month.
The top school team will represent KZN in the national finals this year.
Umhlali first team boys lost to Highbury 1st in the semi finals while the Umhlai 2nds played in the B section, beating DPHS 7th in the finals to win the B section.
