Curro Salt Rock high school pupils made their mark at the recent Curro Create competition in Hillcrest.
This year they performed live after two years of the competition was restricted to online because of Covid-19 pandemic.
The local team brought their A game and walked away with impressive results, including two coveted Kryptonite awards.
The pupils were not just adjudicated by industry professionals but also receive mentoring in their respective categories.
Top results in the Kryptonite category (95% – 100%) went to Isabella de Oliveira (art) and Lia Masinga, Leana Masinga and Sithabile Mthiyane (singing – trio).
Black Raven awards (85% – 95%) were awarded to Hannah Wilkins (dance – solo), and for singing solos: Dakota Gooderson, Yolanda Khanyile, Lia Masinga, Leana Masinga and Sithabile Mthiyane.
