Good turnout for Cansa shavathon at Reddam House Ballito

A commemorative wall of remembrance containing photos of cancer warriors, survivors and victims was landscaped across the athletics field.

It was a colourful and fun day at Reddam House Ballito recently when the school hosted a Cansa Shavathon drive in support of those fighting cancer.

More than R27 000 was raised on May 7.

A commemorative wall of remembrance containing photos of cancer warriors, survivors and victims was landscaped across the athletics field.

This was created as a social initiative by the matric class of 2022.

Shavathon team effort – Luca Desvaux de Marigny, Jordan Loditti, Evandre Venter and Brooklyn Redman.

Michaela Moreira, Grade 12 events executive, said the festival garnered support from all ages as families of the students attended.

“Cansa’s corporate relationship and sport manager Sam Chigumbura was extremely pleased with the support and the effort put in by the matric pupils,” said Moreira.
