Nyakana and Zilungisele triumph at Build It Stanger U13 tournament

A host of local schools gathered at the Groutville Sports Fields to showcase their talent.

Young athletes from across KwaDukuza gave it their all as the Build It Stanger U13 Football & Netball Tournament returned on Saturday.

A host of local schools gathered at the Groutville Sports Fields to showcase their talent.
Held since 2006, the annual tournament is one of the biggest events on the local schools calendar.

In boys’ soccer, Nyakana Primary took top honours, while Lloyd Primary finished second. Lloyd Primary’s Chris Xola was named player of the tournament.

In netball, Zilungisele Primary claimed the title, with Mbozamo Primary finishing second. Sisanda Zikhali was named player of the tournament.

KwaDukuza Mayor Siduduzo Gumede was on hand to present the trophies to the winning teams at the prize-giving.
