Ashton celebrates achievements

It was a proud moment as 23,8% of the pupils were awarded academic honours for achieving an average above 80%.

Ashton’s Class of 2022 celebrated the end of their school journey at the Valedictory in the Grace Hall recently.

The Cambridge AS Level top achiever was Paige Dawson, with Rouxlé Johnstone placing second and Dillon Koekemoer third.

The Cambridge International Examinations A Level Dux was awarded to Samika Moodley, the Proxime Accessit was Sashna Govender and placing third was Danielle Boshoff.

On the IEB (Independent Examinations Board) curriculum, Fang-Ping Wu clinched the Dux award, with Proxime Accessit being awarded to Matthew Sieling.

The 2022 Head’s Award for leadership and service was awarded to Hannah Müller (headgirl) and Max Oliver (headboy).

Sportswoman of the Year was Rouxlé Johnstone, while Matthew McCarter was named Sportsman of the Year.
