Awards for Darnall’s top achievers

Pupils who excelled throughout the year were recognised for their efforts and school spirit.

Darnall Primary School held its annual prize-giving for the Grade 7 pupils at the Darnall Country Club at the beginning of the month.

The Dux award went to Kayne Naidoo, with the Sportsboy of the Year award going to Rupert Beyers.

The Good Fellowship award went to Ntando Mnguni.

Arya Hooblal was named Sportsgirl of the Year for her achievements in cricket and cross-country, and also claimed the senior Victrix Ludorum award for athletics.

Other awards included Good Fellowship, claimed by Ntando Mnguni, who was also named Soccer Player of the Year.

Dux for 2022, Kayne Naidoo was recognised for his achievements in English, creative writing, Afrikaans, mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences, computer studies and economic management sciences.

The Hockey Player of the Year title went to Adelle Dhanpal, who also earned the senior Victrix Ludorum award for swimming.
