Soojay brothers know their moves

Both earned national colours after sterling performances at a chess championship earlier this month.

Ashton International College brothers Josiah and Jorah Soojay are master strategists when it comes to doing battle on the chess board.

Both earned national colours after sterling performances in the Online South African Closed Chess Championships earlier this month.

Josiah (Grade 3) won the U8 open section and elder brother Jorah (Form 2) did the same in the U16 open category.

Jorah’s victory qualified him to represent South Africa at one of the world’s most prestigious schools chess championships to be held in Greece between April 13 – 23.
