CycleLab School Series to roll into Umhlali Prep on Sunday

Entries are still open and riders of every age and skill level are encouraged to join the fun.

Calling all young cyclists! The next round of the KZN CycleLab School Series rides into Umhlali Prep this weekend and you won’t want to miss it.

This fun, family-friendly event is open to children of all ages and abilities, with an exciting lap-based course set up around the school for Sunday’s race. The track has been designed to be safe and manageable, with easier lines around every obstacle so that everyone can ride at their own pace and skill level.

Younger riders will be guided by high school pupils, who will also sweep from the back to ensure no one is left behind. Parents and friends are encouraged to cheer from the sidelines and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Two of the four races in the KZN series have already taken place, and Umhlali’s event is the only opportunity for local riders to compete on home soil. Every lap and rider contributes to overall school points, making it a great opportunity to show school spirit while pedalling to victory.

Youngsters aged six to 18 can enter at R160 for junior school participants and R210 for high schoolers. Late entries on the day will incur an additional R50 fee.

Each entry includes a R100 CycleLab voucher, a nice bonus on top of the thrill of racing alongside friends.
