North Coast Schools ready for returning SPAR KZN Schoolgirls’ Hockey Challenge

The first round kicks off at Crawford La Lucia tomorrow (March 1).

Four North Coast schools will compete for glory in the upcoming 16th edition of the SPAR KZN Schoolgirls’ Hockey Challenge.

The Durban North Regional kicks off at Crawford La Lucia on March 1, with defending champions Ashton International College Ballito, Curro Salt Rock, Reddam Ballito and Crawford International North Coast all involved. They will join six other schools to compete across two pools, with the top two teams advancing to cross-pool semi-finals and the regional final.

A total of 23 fast-paced, 20-minute matches will be played. The winner will qualify for July’s Grand Finals at St Mary’s D.S.G., where they will face nine regional champions. Ashton finished third last year.

This year, matric players also stand a chance to win a one-year bursary to study at eta College.
