Since 2019, the school has grown into a close-knit community, reflecting the strong relationships built within Ballito. As the vibrant school family grows, the newly built Preparatory School represents an investment in its children’s future. Rather than simply adding space, this purpose-built facility has been centred on collaborative, interactive learning that fosters teamwork. It features welcoming classrooms, a Metaverse Room for shared digital exploration and inspiring studios for dance, drama, art, STEAM, design and technology.

A resource centre and academic support spaces ensure every child feels seen, supported and valued. At the heart of the new facility are a spacious dining area and a striking double-volume piazza, designed as a welcoming gathering place for parents, teachers and students to connect. Importantly, the campus continues to grow alongside the Ballito community, ensuring the school maintains its intimate, personal touch as it welcomes new families.

Meet the Principal

Catherine Raw has been part of the Reddam House Ballito journey from the beginning, joining as Head of School in October 2018 ahead of the school’s opening in January 2019. Now Executive Head, she brings more than 30 years’ experience in education, including seven years leading Westville Girls’ High School.

Her expertise in secondary school leadership was recognised when she placed first in KwaZulu-Natal in the 2017 National Teaching Awards.

Passionate about nurturing the whole student, Raw champions an education that develops individuality, confidence, creativity and independent thought alongside academic excellence.
