Even if there were no signboards, there are plenty of parks and public spaces where a loving dog owner can let his or her dogs get some exercise. Dogs have no reason to be on a beach in the first place, as not all holidaymakers want them to be around when trying to relax.
There are in any event beaches in Ballito which are dog-friendly, so why can’t the owners simply make use of them? See the attached pictures taken at Chaka’s Rock on March 19. This lady walked her two dogs in a prohibited area, and simply did not bother to pick up their excrement. She clearly had their leashes in her hand, and one can assume she is probably a local resident, as holidaymakers are unlikely to bring pets along, since it is verboten at most holiday accommodation.
Hopefully she can explain why she insists on bringing dogs to a beach which is already reeling from various other pollutants?
