We went to the Kruger Park recently, where it was an awesome sight each day to see the many tame Duiker and other small animals around our camp,
Then we arrived home last week to read in the North Coast Courier of July 24 that a small Duiker was severely and savagely attacked by men employed by the construction company building one of the largest shopping complexes in Ballito.
What kind of men are WBHO employing that resort to this very unacceptable behaviour? They should be named and shamed and a hefty fine must be imposed on WBHO.
This is not the first time an incident of this nature has occurred at the Junction Mall. Some years ago security guards and workers at one of the restaurant’s kicked a small animal which was found in the centre. These sorts of incidents must without a doubt be punishable and examples must be set. Our residents of the community are outraged at this incident, we all want answers!
Thank you to the Rain Farm for accepting this Duiker and all the work you do for other animals. To WBHO, make it right and donate to the Rain Farm for this incident your employees created.
Mahatma Gandhi said ” You can judge a country by the way they treat their animals”.
