Rose Khuzwayo (principal of Sizani Combined Primary School) writes:
We would like to extend a huge, big thank you to the Ballito Community and Santa Shoebox Project (SSB) for the incredible surprise that you brought us last Tuesday.
Our 789 Sizani Combined Primary School pupils were completely overwhelmed by your generosity.
Many of our children have never received a present before, therefore it took a while for the disbelief to fade and the excitement to set in.
However, when it did, it was so much fun to watch. The pupils could not believe that complete strangers had gone out of their way to make such personal presents for them.
Our teachers, along with the many parents who have contacted our school in the past week, would also like to extend their thanks and appreciation for the children’s beautiful gifts.
Thank you Natalie Smith and your entire SSB team.
We hope you enjoy reading the big bundle of thank you letters that we have collected from the pupils, many written and decorated using their new stationery. We can never thank you and your volunteers enough for what you have done for us.
And, finally, as one of our Grade 4 pupils said, “thank you to the people from Ballito, who don’t even know us”, we will be eternally grateful for your kindness, caring and great big hearts.
Thank you everyone.
