Letter: Great fundraising Fair

Despite the rain the visitors arrived.

Gaby, Michelle and the Christmas Fair team write: Firstly, huge big thanks to you and The North Coast Courier team for your support of this year’s Christmas Country Fair – Fair with Flair 2018. This year’s set up was a huge step for us. Our CFF team had no idea of the scale of our new set up until it was up. We showcased 126 vendors/stall holders, 22 more than in the previous three years.

This year’s showcase was the fulfilment of a long-term vision, to offer a fair that is unique and unlike any other market/fair offering in KwaZulu-Natal, with the ultimate aim of growing our support base and to maximise our fund-raising efforts, not just for the well-known projects but also for the individuals in our community where the need is great and not “advertised”.

Despite the rain the visitors arrived.

We are exceptionally happy to confirm, despite a slight drop in numbers through the gate (from 3200 to 2915), we reached a new milestone in our fund-raising efforts, with just over R700K raised over the two days. It is an exceptional achievement given the current economic climate.

Our stall holders bought into our vision and made a tremendous effort in offering a fabulous shopping and inspirational experience. We are extremely grateful that we have been able to grow a loyal following and deliver a top-quality fundraising event.

We are blown away by the support of our KZN community and our local media! We would like to thank you and the Dolphin Coast community for being part of this year’s journey and contributing to the tremendous success of Fair with Flair 2018!

Our sincere thanks to our key partner and sponsor, Collisheen Estate who have so graciously hosted us for the last 14 years!

To our marquee suppliers Bheems and Extreme Event Hire, to Laatz Electrical and Genmatic for ensuring we have power, Denny of Imprint for our Tickets, Zap Signs for all directional signage, to the sponsors that made financial contributions and to our committed and dedicated voluntary members who work tirelessly in the months leading up to the Fair – our sincere and heartfelt thanks for your commitment to The Christmas Fair Fund.
